Craft Insurance
Towergate and British Canoeing have teamed up to help protect your life on the water.
British Canoeing membership gives you access to exclusive craft insurance provided by Towergate, offering cover for your canoes, kayaks and paddleboards, available to add when you buy or renew your British Canoeing membership.
Haven’t considered canoe, kayak or paddleboard insurance?
Although not a legal requirement, you should consider what suits your individual needs. You may find your craft is covered by your home insurance, however, in many cases, your craft may not be covered away from the home. You should check your policy wording for exclusions.
Specific canoe and kayak insurance is designed to make sure you have cover in place while your canoe is in storage, in transit or on the water.
What’s included in the Craft Insurance?
- Cover for up to two craft for £60
This includes (canoes, paddleboards and kayaks) up to £2,000 each
- Theft cover for canoes and kayaks
Theft cover provided as standard) Just make sure to secure your craft to keep it safe and meet the policy conditions found in the policy wording for cover to apply.
- Paddle abroad
Cover for trips in Western Europe for up to 30 days.
Full details of the cover provided and terms and conditions applicable, can be found in the policy wording, with a summary provided in the Insurance Product Information Document, available below:
