Go Green Option

Go Green and we’ll ring-fence £2 of your membership to support paddle clean-ups

Our Go Green membership option helps make membership more environmentally friendly and offers members more choice.

Based on member feedback, and our aim to improve member services, members can choose whether they want to receive a membership card and pack, or choose a digital membership.

The Go Green options means members can use a PDF membership card. And if you delete it accidentally, you can download another from your dedicated member dashboard in the Hub.

You can also access your member benefits through the Hub, giving you instant access with no paper in sight. All communications will also be sent digitally. Keep an eye out for the email with the digital membership card when you join!

Please note that if you select the Go Green option you don’t receive a hard copy membership pack and card.

Supporting Campaigning

When you choose to Go Green, British Canoeing is committed to ring-fencing £2 of the membership fee of each member who signed up to the Go Green option. This money will support the work of the paddle clean ups and the British Canoeing Clear Access Clear Waters campaign. This money is used to help support and fund river clean up initiatives, like the Paddle Clean Up Kits and Litter Picking Stations. With help from the 2 Minute Foundation, your money goes towards the creation of repurposed tent bags. Recycled from broken tents left behind after festivals, reusable tent bags have been created to help support paddle clean ups around the UK.

The Go Green option is available when you Join or Renew through the Go Membership portal or by Contacting the Membership Team on 0300 0119 500. Members can also add this to their membership during the year.
